South Burlington, VT Stantec was named a leader in two statewide surveys recognizing the top places of employment in Vermont. Stantec’s South Burlington office was named the #1 large employer in the 12th annual ranking of Best Places to Work in Vermont. Additionally, the office was named a 2018 Rising Star in Worksite Wellness.
“Stantec’s corporate philosophy of designing with community in mind extends to everything we do; from our project work to our own office environment, our priorities center on enhancing our communities and creating value,” said Gary Santy, senior principal. “These awards serve as a testament to our unwavering focus on this mission, and we’re proud to be recognized for this commitment.”
This is the second consecutive year that the firm has been ranked #1 in the Best Places to Work survey, which is presented by Vermont Business Magazine, the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, the Vermont Department of Economic Development, the Vermont Department of Labor, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Vermont State Council, and Best Companies Group.
The annual awards program evaluates a company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, and demographics, coupled with significant consideration of results from an employee survey measuring overall experience. The program honored a record-setting total of 50 winners this year across three categories based on company size.
Additionally, Stantec was among 81 employers to earn a Worksite Wellness Award from the Vermont Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, earning the Rising Star designation. The annual awards recognize Vermont employers dedicated to enhancing employee productivity by promoting physical fitness and a healthy work-life balance; supporting a healthy environment; and generally improving the lives of citizens in the state. This is the third time the firm has been recognized by the Governor’s office for worksite wellness.
