Boston, MA The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Boston is excited to kick off the New Year with a roundtable program on Tuesday, January 15th. The event will focus on property management excellence, moderated by 2019 BOMA Boston president Scott Rickards, vice president of property management, Lincoln Property Company. The participating panelists are all local 2018 TOBY & Industry Award Winners: Dan Koehler, senior real estate manager, CBRE; Aashish Patel, property manager, Oxford Properties Group and Jennifer Ruiz, general manager, JLL. The event will take place at Two Center Plaza from Noon – 1:30 p.m., with networking and registration beginning at 11:45 a.m. 

Back by popular demand, BOMA Boston will be holding an annual ski trip on Friday, January 25th. Hit the slopes with over 40 BOMA members and friends at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire with an all-day ski lift ticket or an activity pass, including snow shoeing, tubing, skating, zip line, cross country skiing. This event will begin with breakfast at 8:00 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and ending with an après ski reception at 3:00 p.m.  

BOMA Boston is pleased to present a new offering designed for mid-career real estate professionals looking to grow their leadership skills and develop strategic, critical thinking skills. The Leadership Conference led by Jodi Detjen and Ashana Chrichton of Orange Grove Consulting will be held on Tuesday, February 5th. This half-day program will include a Strategic Shifts Workshop from 1:00 – 5:00 PM, followed by a Connection Lab Cocktail Party ending at 7:00 PM. BOMA’s partnership with BOMI International remains strong with ten courses scheduled this year in Boston. With the educational offerings, BOMA Members and Non-Members learn from senior professionals in the commercial real estate industry to work towards earning their RPA or FMA designations, or PAC or PMFP certifications. The first BOMI Course, Asset Management, begins on Wednesday, January 9th. The course will be instructed by Mark Giampa, Related Beal at Alexandria Real Estate in Cambridge. The next course in the series, The Design, Operations, and Maintenance of Building Systems Part 1 will begin on Thursday, January 17th.  It will be instructed by Mike Gill, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
