Fairfield, CT Southport-based commercial real estate firm, Angel Commercial, LLC, has completed the following retail transactions.
“While many national retail chains have found the market challenging in recent times, we were able to secure new tenants to fill their space,” said Jon Angel, president of Angel Commercial. “Many of today’s new retail tenants tend to provide a product or service that cannot be obtained through online shopping channels.”
The Post Road Dry Cleaners signed a long-term lease for 2,393 s/f at the Fairfield Shopping Center at 909 Post Rd. next to Jenny Craig and relocated their store from the Rings End Plaza. Angel Commercial was the sole broker in this transaction. “This was a smart move for Post Road Dry Cleaners since they were able to double their space, and improve the store’s accessibility and parking,” said Angel.
Coastal CT Design, LLC (d/b/a AR Workshop) has leased 2,000 s/f of retail space at the Fairfield Shopping Center at 869 Post Rd. Angel represented the landlord, Post Benson Corp. AR Workshop is a boutique DIY studio that offers hands-on classes for creating custom home decor from raw materials. “This is their first location in Connecticut,” said Angel. “The Fairfield Shopping Center, with Bob’s Stores as the anchor tenant, is an ideal spot for this type of studio due to the easy access and abundant parking.”
Shiraz Choudhary of Rocky Hill, purchased a freestanding retail building on 0.20 acres at 730 Brooklawn Ave. in Fairfield for $500,000 from Osprey Properties, LLC, of Denver, Colorado. Ron Agababian, vice president of Angel Commercial was the sole broker in the transaction. “This property, located across from the Brooklawn Country Club and next to the Brooklawn Liquor Store, was previously used as a gas and service station,” said Agababian. “The new owner plans to renovate the building and add a convenience store while providing gasoline sales.”
