Chelmsford, MA LCB Senior Living, LLC has acquired two new properties: Brookdale North Chelmsford in Mass.; and Brookdale Rocky Hill in Conn.
The community in North Chelmsford is located at 4 Technology Dr. and will be renamed The Residence at Freeman Lake, effective immediately, after a recreational lake in town. This 73-apartment community was built in 1996 and will continue to offer assisted living and memory care services.
It rests on 7.5 acres in the Drum Hill neighborhood, located near a shopping center and restaurants, cultural recreation options, and close by downtown.
The community in Rocky Hill is located at 60 Cold Spring Rd., and will be renamed The Residence at Ferry Park, effective immediately, after one of the nation’s oldest continuously operating ferry services.
This 73-apartment community was built in 1997 and will continue to offer assisted living and memory care services. It rests on 5.4 acres, and is located near shopping, restaurants, and a variety of cultural and historical attractions.
Both communities will undergo renovations over the next 12 to 18 months to include new furniture, finishes & fixtures, apartment and common area upgrades, a structural reconfiguration designed to enhance the flow and atmosphere of the communities, window replacements for more natural lighting, and more.
These physical improvements are meant to aide in the overall transformation of the communities and are just the beginning of our efforts to refocus the business to work for our residents and our associates.
“These two new communities are wonderful additions to our portfolio” said LCB CEO Michael Stoller. “LCB has a successful track record of repositioning and improving well-located senior communities, and we look to expand that part of our business. We are thrilled to bring these two properties into the fold, and to provide our new residents with the tremendous service and quality that we are known for.”
Assisted Living residents in both communities enjoy the privacy and comfort of a spacious apartment, complete with kitchenette, full bath, and a host of amenities. Residents also have access to individualized assistance with the activities of daily life. This includes such things as bathing, offering an escort to meals and other activities, dressing, showering, medication management, and more.
All residents enjoy our expansive engagement program, which creates daily opportunities for learning, live music, art, lectures and other forms of culture, physical activities including Tai Chi and yoga, and a broad array of social events. LCB takes great pride in providing residents with a lifestyle that is intellectually-stimulating, full of personal growth opportunities and fun.
The Residence at Freeman Lake and The Residence at Ferry Park will both also feature LCB’s renowned Reflections Memory Care services. This program offers sophisticated cognitive and social programming, and care provided by Dementia Certified Professionals. Reflections neighborhoods are secure, safe environments with their own spacious common areas, outdoor patio, and a host of other amenities.
Implementation of LCB’s signature Anytime Dining program will begin over the course of the first three months, in conjunction with kitchen upgrades and improvements in design and layout of the dining room. Our Anytime Dining program allows residents to chose what they want to eat, when they want to eat between 7:00AM – 7:00PM daily. The meals are meticulously crafted and prepared with the freshest and most local ingredients by professional chefs. Unrivaled by any other dining program in the industry, Anytime Dining provides residents with not only the most flexibility, but the most variety and options to select from.
In combination with the physical renovations, the improvements in engagement and recreation and overall quality of life for residents will be significant. “We are excited about the addition of these two communities to our company,” said Stoller. “We extend our warmest welcome to our new residents, families and associates who are joining our family."
