Branford, CT O,R&L Commercial, LLC has completed a long-term lease for 12,030 s/f of biomed-tech space to Azitra Inc., at 21 Business Park Dr. Richard Guralnick, CCIM of O,R&L was the sole broker. After extensive renovations and upgrades to the facility, Azitra will be moving from their present location in Farmington, to their new Branford Business Park Dr. location in February.

Azitra is a clinical-stage medical dermatology company that leverages extensive scientific knowledge of proteomics, genetic engineering and the skin microbiome to create and develop novel products for the treatment of skin conditions and diseases. Azitra’s lead programs are focused on cancer therapy-associated rashes (CTAR), orphan skin diseases including Netherton syndrome, eczema (atopic dermatitis) and ichthyosis vulgaris. 

The company’s technology platform, developed in collaboration with scientists at Yale University and the Jackson Laboratory, is based on a proprietary strain of the natural commensal bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis. Direct application of these commensal bacteria alone improves skin appearance, hydration, and healing.
