Boston, MA Jeffrey Marr Jr. was elected president of the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts (ASM) for the 2021-2023 term at the ASM Biennial Dinner. The event took place Wednesday, October 13, at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy and included the election of the ASM board of directors and officers.
As president, Marr will lead the activities of the association; preside at all meetings of the board of directors and executive committee; represent the association at important meetings and functions; and serve as the spokesperson for the association. For six years prior to his election, he served on the board of directors and executive committee and actively participated on the legislative committee.
“It is an honor to serve as president of ASM, the only association that works tirelessly for the region’s subcontractors,” said Marr. “We currently represent more than 300 subcontractors and affiliates who employ many thousands of skilled workers in virtually every specialty trade. I look forward to supporting our members and the region’s subcontractors in my new role.”
Marr is vice president, business development for The Marr Companies. A graduate of Boston College, he is active in the community serving on the board of directors for the Boston Preservation Alliance (BPA) and on the employer advisory council at Building Pathways. He is a longtime supporter of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester and the Rodman Ride for Kids. Marr is the first member of the sixth generation of the family-owned business to begin his career with the company.
