North Reading, MA Columbia has promoted Siggy Pfendler to vice president | improvement & innovation. In this role, Pfendler will continue to work with all departments at Columbia to identify, define, and develop best practice workflows and deploy technologies that support and improve operational efficiencies across the company.
“Siggy has made a huge impact on Columbia with her passion for continuous improvement,” said Columbia president Shaun Lover. “She is a leader whose ability to connect with others, and connect the dots internally, has made her an invaluable member of our team.”
With dual civil engineering degrees from Stanford University, Pfendler brings 20 years of experience across multiple roles in the construction industry, including field engineer, project manager, director of virtual construction, and most recently, director of improvement & innovation.
In addition, she has served as treasurer, vice president, and board member of the Boston chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. She is a past committee member of the AGC Building Women in Construction (BWiC) and is currently co-leader of the Society for Construction Solutions’ Boston chapter, and member of the town of Andover West Elementary School Building Committee.
She has received Constructech magazine’s Women in Construction award and has been named to BuiltWorlds Adoption Leaders 50 List.
