Wallingford, CT The Connecticut/ Western Massachusetts chapter of SIOR recently hosted another in its series of lively breakfast panels. “Repurposing to React to a Rapidly Changing Post-Covid Marketplace” was the focus and headline for this session The Chapter was pleased to be back at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford, and equally delighted to have almost 100 real estate and business professionals in attendance.
Mike Goman, principal Goman & York Property Advisors, moderated the event. Participating on the panel were Adam Winstanley, principal, Winstanley Enterprises; Felix Charney, founder, Summit Development, Avner Krohn, founder, chairman & CEO, Jasko Development; and Rich Lee, managing director, OR&L Commercial discussions ranged from the panelists talking about their respective company’s investment and development focus and strategies; particularly over the past couple years during the pandemic All asset classes were touched upon from residential, to life science, to health care, office, retail, industrial, and hospitality too, with most comments centered around the Connecticut market. A number of points were targeted on creating viable opportunities in any asset class for both repositioned existing facilities as well as ground-up new developments. Finally, a few remarks touched on the changing economic winds and possible effects from rising interest rates.
