Brockton, MA NeighborWorks Housing Solutions, one of the leading housing service providers in southern Massachusetts, was named the recipient of a $20,000 grant from the Dedham Savings Community Foundation.
The award will be used to help purchase furnishings, seating, umbrellas, a stage area, lighting, outdoor décor, storage, and fencing at the pavilion at Sycamore on Main, a 48 mixed-income apartment complex owned by NHS.
“We deeply appreciate this generous grant from the Dedham Savings Community Foundation,” said Robert Corley, CEO of NeighborWorks Housing Solutions. “The funding will enable us to create a welcoming and inclusive outdoor space where residents can gather, relax, and enjoy various activities.”
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the bank’s community reinvestment area.
NeighborWorks Housing Solutions has more than 70 years of combined experience in the community development field and provides services to more than 20,000 households in over 75 cities and towns across the region.
In addition to building and managing nearly 800 units of housing for veterans, homeless families and others in need, the agency offers a wide range of housing services, including foreclosure prevention counseling, home rehabilitation loans and grants, financial coaching and first-time homebuyer workshops.
