Plymouth, MA The town of Plymouth, Massachusetts, is preparing to kick off the celebration and holiday season as it hosts three days of activities this upcoming weekend, the Thanksgiving Parade, on Saturday, November 23. And to ensure all these events can be enjoyed comfortably, the event coordinators have once again partnered with B.C. Tent & Awning, who are busily setting up tents of all sizes along the Plymouth waterfront in preparation for the festivities.
In addition to the Thanksgiving Parade, which is one of America’s only historically accurate chronological parades and ranked the #1 Thanksgiving parade in the nation, the America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration also features many events along the waterfront, including a Craft Beer and Wine Garden, Children’s Pavilion, Portal to the Past Historic Village, and Harvest Market, all of which will be located under tents that not only provide shelter from any elements, but also create a warm and festive feel to the area.
B.C. Tent & Awning also provides cover for the seating gallery, located at the start of the parade, and has been a quiet yet noticeable mainstay of the celebration since 2002.
“We’re incredibly proud to be called upon once again by America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration, and of our long history with the event,” said Bob Costa, president of B.C. Tent & Awning. “Every year it seems to get bigger and better, and we’re grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of something so special and contribute in a small way to its success.”
Over its 44-year-history, B.C. Tent has provided services for some very high level events. Most recently, B.C. Tent was called upon to assist with the unveiling of the new Green Line car in City Hall Plaza. The company was also a part of the Boston Red Sox’s Rolling Rally Celebration after winning the 2004 World Series, and has contributed to other events featuring U.S. presidents and world leaders.
In addition to tent rentals and furniture for all occasions, the company sells fabric storage shelters and custom awnings, and provides ongoing services for a number of the region’s notable organizations, including universities, corporations of all sorts, and event planners.
