Boston, MA Syska Hennessy Group, the international engineering firm, has appointed three senior-level engineers in its local office: Michael Trickett, PE; Jeffrey Zajac, PE, LEED AP; and Michael Friedman, PE.
Trickett, associate partner, has 40 years of experience in the design of electrical systems for a variety of project types, including healthcare, laboratory, higher education, commercial, and aviation. His project portfolio includes a new ER department and CRU space at Lahey Hospital in Burlington; a new building at Northeastern University; the Ohio headquarters of Progressive Insurance; terminal E renovations at Logan Airport; and the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge.
Zajac, senior associate, has more than 25 years of experience in the design and oversight of mechanical building systems across the corporate, medical, commercial, and industrial sectors. Highlights of his experience include work for Mass. General Hospital, Harvard University, Babson College, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Hynes Convention Center, Logan Airport, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Friedman, associate, has more than six years of experience in the design of fire protection systems, as an engineer and as a contractor/ installer. His past projects include a new dorm building at Cushing Academy; a multi-story self-storage facility in Hingham; Tufts University Bacon Hall; MelroseWakefield Hospital; and Atrius Health Plymouth in Plymouth, RI.
Before joining Syska, Friedman worked as a fire protection engineer at Impact Fire Services out of Southborough, MA. Previously, he worked as a fire protection engineer for Battelle Energy Alliance at the Idaho National Labs in Idaho Falls, ID; and at AHA Consulting Engineers in Lexington, MA. He earned a master of science degree in fire protection engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
