Commodore Builders
What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community? My greatest achievement isn’t just one project but being part of many successful builds and incredible teams at Commodore Builders. This year marks my 20th anniversary with the company, and that longevity is something I’m truly proud of. Over the years, I’ve contributed to projects like the SimpliSafe headquarters, the Cambridge Consultants build-out, and Longfellow’s 60 State St. offices. Each project reflects teamwork, precision, and problem-solving – things I thrive on. Knowing my work helps shape these spaces is an achievement in itself.
Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry? When I started in construction, I worked for a woman who built her own general contracting firm from the ground up. There were just six of us – only three in the office – so we spent a lot of time together. She had worked with top general contractors in Boston, and to me, she was a construction superstar. She taught me not just through direct training but by handling challenges with confidence and grace. She was my mentor and is still a dear friend. Even now, I often think, ‘What would Beth do?’
What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work? My husband and I spend weekends building our home, finding joy in creating something lasting.
