What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community? One of the projects I am most proud of is developing a new software tool designed to streamline processes within our company. It is a major initiative aimed at improving workflow efficiency, seamlessly integrating department data and eliminating redundant activities. There were many challenges along the way, including keeping up with our regular workload while trying to get this new ERP system up and running. This project made me understand the importance of getting feedback from the end users and helped me develop stronger leadership skills, which I am excited to apply toward future projects.

What trends or innovations do you believe will shape the future of your field, and how are you positioning yourself (or your firm) to be at the forefront? Since 2000, the construction industry has witnessed a significant rise in costs, while profit margins have remained relatively stagnant. This disparity can be attributed to various factors, including escalating material prices and ongoing labor challenges. However, as technology continues to advance, there is growing potential to address these inefficiencies. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) presents an opportunity to minimize operational burdens which will reduce costs and enhance overall productivity. My next project is to utilize AI for building analytics in my company.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work? My 2-year-old toddler fills me up with an abundance of love, energy and laughter everyday!
