Lexington, MA Connolly Brothers Inc. completed a 3,600 s/f interior renovation project for CAMX Power LLC.
The scope of this design-build project involved taking preexisting office space and building a dry room, a mixer lab, a coater room and new office space on the ground level of the multi-story building. A secondary electrical room was also built to provide power to the newly renovated spaces. The project also involved the installation of new HVAC systems, including a dehumidification system for the dry room. The dry room, which was a key aspect of the project, is to be used for battery cell production.
“Connolly Brothers’ design-build approach brought clarity and consistency to every phase of this project, with clear communication that kept all teams – including ours – aligned from start to finish,” said Dr. Kenan Sahin, president and founder of CAMX Power. “We value our partnership with Connolly Brothers and look forward to the positive impact this project will have on CAMX’s future operations.”
During the construction process, the Connolly team communicated and collaborated with all project stakeholders to ensure that the existing architectural elements in the building were not disturbed.
Connolly Brothers served as both architect of record and construction manager. The project team included D&D Electrical Contractors, Inc.; Impact Fire Services; Medford Wellington Service Co. Inc.; Minus-Eleven, Inc.; and North Shore Mechanical Contractors, LLC.
“Having collaborated with CAMX Power LLC in the past, we are thrilled to have been able to work with them again on this project,” said Connolly Brothers president and CEO, Jay Connolly. “The success of this project was driven by the project team’s exceptional teamwork and commitment. We hope to have the opportunity to partner on more projects with the CAMX team going forward.”
