Chestnut Hill, MA Todd Snyder, a menswear designer, is cementing his position as the ultimate menswear destination with the opening of his second Boston area store at The Street Chestnut Hill. Located at 33 Boylston St., the 2,200 s/f shopping destination offers an assortment of both Todd Snyder’s premium men’s clothing and a curated collection of luxury footwear and accessories.
“Our goal is to create the ultimate menswear destination,” says Snyder, founder and president. “Since opening our Boston Seaport location over two years ago, we’ve been thrilled and overwhelmed by its success. Over time, we saw that many of our clients were from Chestnut Hill. What better way to serve their lifestyle and needs than by bringing our collection right to their backyard?”
When designing this location, Snyder drew inspiration from London and his favorite hotels, bars and lounges in the city. The store is an interpretation of a globetrotter’s flat, using the brand’s visual identity to bring the concept to life.
“As The Street continues to grow as a premier retail destination for every member of the family, we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Todd Snyder as the latest addition to our curated mix of fashion brands,” says Jeff Rosenthal, general manager of The Street Chestnut Hill.
“Known for its refined take on American style and commitment to craftsmanship, Todd Snyder will be a must-visit for our guests seeking versatile, elevated menswear.”
The store’s cash wrap — lined in reclaimed vintage Persian rugs from the New York City-based ABC Carpet and Home — puts a spin on timeless textiles and acts as the space’s focal point.
Metro tiles trace the ceiling in a nod to the classic white tiles of the London Underground.
Each room is adorned with rare 19th and 20th century antiques sourced on shopping trips in London, Paris, Round Top and NYC.
English-style moldings and custom handcrafted cases and cabinetry from London ground the store throughout.
Snyder’s new Chestnut Hill location presents a selection of elevated and luxe products. The store features a tailoring shop with an range of Italian suits and sport coats, as well as luxe premium essentials, like cashmere, Japanese denim, Irish linen shirting, selvedge chinos and the brand’s Italian-made shoes and sandals.
In addition to the award-winning Todd Snyder collection, the store highlights a chosen array of best-in-class brands from around the world, including a collection of dress and casual footwear from names like Rubinacci, Sanders and New Balance.
