Amesbury, MA Industry-leading design-build firm ARCO, in partnership with Marcus Partners, has completed a 435,000 s/f manufacturing facility for Munters, a global leader in energy-efficient air treatment solutions. The flagship facility addresses the growing demand for Munters’ precision temperature and humidity control systems, essential for industries such as lithium-ion battery production and food processing.

The project increases production capacity, streamlines workflows, and enhances customer service for Munters, housing fabrication, assembly, rotor production, an R&D lab, and a service training academy. Additionally, the facility features over 60,000 s/f of modern office space, designed with enhanced amenities for employees.

The town has been home to Munters for over 60 years. By choosing to expand its operations in Amesbury, Munters continues as the city’s largest employer. Designed to support the company’s goal of halving emissions by 2030, the facility incorporates electrified processes, energy-efficient technologies, and renewable energy sources. Additional design and construction features include a 26,800 s/f mezzanine, 30 interior overhead cranes ranging from one to 40 tons, an air source heat pump HVAC system, chemical and hazardous storage areas, load-bearing precast concrete walls, and 32 ft. clear height.
