RDK Engineers has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Mass. in the debut of an employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. The Globe 100's Top Places to Work magazine.
Produced by the same team that compiles the 21 year old Globe 100 report of the best-performing public companies in Mass., the Top Places to Work recognizes the most progressive companies in the state based on employee opinions about company leadership, compensation and training, diversity/inclusion, career development, family-friendly flexibility, and values and ethics.
The rankings are based on survey information collected by Workplace Dynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention, from 70,000 employees at about 300 organizations. This marks the first time that Globe 100 report honors private and publicly-held organizations.
RDK Engineers was ranked 47 on the overall list.
Chris Cummings, RDK's CEO said "It's a great honor to be recognized in the competitive Boston marketplace, by our staff and by the Globe as one of their Top Places to work.
The publisher of The Globe Steve Ainsley said, "All the companies included in the Globe 100's Top Places to Work deserve a great deal of recognition. It's clear that they value their employees and make it a priority to create a positive workplace."
RDK is not your typical engineering firm. What makes us different is our entrepreneurial structure where we allow each of our groups to operate their own business while giving them the support and resources they need. We provide top-notch design engineering services in the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Communications and Commissioning arena, but we offer our clients that small-firm feel with the large-firm resources which they find tremendous benefits in. This structure also allows us to attract talent that we may not ordinarily have landed.
To qualify for the Globe 100's Top Places to Work, a company must have more than 100 employees in Massachusetts. Nearly 300 qualified companies accepted an invitation to participate. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.
RDK Engineers has specialized in providing high-quality HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for over 100 years. Today, with a staff of over 225 multi-disciplined engineers and professional support located in Andover, Amherst and Boston, MA, Raleigh and Charlotte, NC, and New Brunswick, NJ, offices, the firm provides total building solutions, from systems design through commissioning to facilities management, for leading businesses and institutions nationwide.
