Woburn, MA National therapy provider Ellie Mental Health (Ellie) is charting a course for rapid growth in greater Boston, having just signed its third lease with Cummings Properties inside of a year.
Founded in Minnesota by Erin Pash and Kyle Keller, Ellie is known for its comfort-first, humor-infused approach to therapy, a model that aims to destigmatize mental healthcare. Since its launch in 2015, the organization has grown to include more than 250 franchise locations across the country.
Ellie opened its doors at 200 Boston Ave., Medford in 2024, followed by 800 West Cummings Park in Woburn’s “Medical City” building this month. Its third Cummings location – and 13th in Massachusetts – is slated to join the healthcare community at Cummings Center, in Beverly, this November.
Cummings Properties worked with Brad Hickey, of CARR, on all three deals.
“The variety within our north-of-Boston portfolio makes it easy for us to support businesses seeking multiple locations in this region,” said Mike Truesdale, senior leasing director at Cummings Properties. “Medical practices, in particular, appreciate the healthcare clusters we’ve established at many of our campuses.”
Among Ellie’s neighbors at its new 3,600-square-foot Woburn facility are Beth Israel Lahey Winchester Physician Associates, Boston Sports and Shoulder Center, Gameday Men’s Health, New England Women’s Healthcare, Neuro-Rehab Management, and North Shore Pain Management.
At Cummings Center, it will join more than 100 healthcare offices at the 2 million-square-foot business and technology campus.
Cummings Properties manages 11 million s/f of commercial space in 11 communities north and west of Boston. Businesses that lease space with Cummings feel good knowing that 100 percent of all rent dollars from all clients support hundreds of local nonprofits. The Cummings organization just announced $30 million in grants in 2025, and has awarded $600 million to date in greater Boston.
Ellie Mental Health operates with the mission to compassionately transform the culture of mental health care by providing creative solutions that make wellness accessible in every community. Therapists at Ellie practice diverse specialties and abide by a code of creativity, compassion, authenticity, acceptance, humor, and determination.
