Portsmouth, NH Red Fox Architects, LLC, a new architecture firm rooted in design excellence and community connection, has officially opened its doors at 104 Congress St., Suite 201 in downtown. Founded by seasoned architect Rob Harbeson, the firm brings a refined focus to regional residential and small commercial projects across the greater Seacoast area.

“In launching Red Fox Architects, I’m stepping back into the role I’ve always loved: being an architect deeply engaged in building relationships locally and delivering projects with a high level of design that meet client goals and positively impact our community,” said Harbeson.

Red Fox Architects is positioned to serve clients within a few hours’ radius of the city, with a specialty in thoughtfully designed single-family residential homes and a wide range of small commercial projects. The firm also offers planning services for civic, single family, or private sector clients. 

Red Fox Architects emphasizes a collaborative approach to design, crafting spaces that are both functional and beautiful, and that align closely with client vision and community context.

Harbeson, who has been practicing architecture in Portsmouth since 2003, brings over three decades of experience to the new venture. His extensive portfolio spans residential, commercial, and institutional projects across New England. Previously, Harbeson served as a founding partner of Market Square Architects in Portsmouth. After nearly a decade helping lead Market Square Architects from its inception to a thriving national firm, Harbeson launched Red Fox Architects as a return to hands-on design work and direct client collaboration.
