What drew you to commercial real estate, and what keeps you passionate? I enjoy hearing a developer’s vision and being a part of making that vision a reality. I think most developers would say that a strong relationship with their lender is crucial in this business and I thrive on being able to execute and find creative solutions to make deals happen for my clients. It’s a relationship-based industry so you get to build long-standing connections and at the same time work on various types of projects.
What advice would you give to a woman considering a career in commercial real estate? Find a mentor to provide guidance and be persistent in making things happen. Continue to build your network, not with the goal of getting an immediate win, but to instead develop relationships that will create opportunities for you in the future. And while your work should speak for itself, don’t be afraid to highlight your successes!
