What has been the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in your career, and why? Working on the Boston Dynamics headquarters from 2018–2020. We were hired based on the team we put together and our focus on storytelling and experience design, rather than seniority in this particular market. While we had to climb a steep learning curve, our client trusted us every step of the way to do the thing we were best at. This trust and team rapport made the project extremely fulfilling, and allowed us to execute our creative vision while learning the entire time. Despite challenges, including COVID, the team stayed deeply invested – and it shows.

What drew you to commercial real estate, and what keeps you passionate? I’ve always loved thinking about and designing spaces that people spend a lot of time in, and where the problem-solving you do as a designer has outsize impact. People spend a huge amount of time in and around their workspace, and most will never come in contact with the designer that worked on their space. But as a designer we have a big responsibility to make the things we touch better for those using them. Workplace design starts with solving how to fit needs in, and  evolves to impact day-to-day life. I stay passionate because every client challenge is different and ever-changing.
