Danvers, MA Hancock Associates has promoted Ryan Flanagan, S.I.T. to project manager. Flanagan joined Hancock Associates as a field surveyor in 2012 and was promoted to project surveyor in 2017. Over the years, he acquired a broad knowledge of the technical and legal aspects of surveying projects and became an integral part of multiple high-profile development projects and complex surveys. As project manager, Flanagan will coordinate utility, residential, commercial and municipal projects in the firm’s Newburyport office. Ryan is responsible for client contact, briefing field crews, conducting research and calculations, the preparation of final plans and associated documents as well as CAD operations and GPS automation for the duration of various survey projects.
Flanagan has a Bachelor of Science in Surveying Engineering Technology from The University of Maine, Orono and is a member of the Francis Crowe Society. He is a Surveyor-in-Training (S.I.T.), OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach trained, a member of the Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers (MALSCE) and an active member of Hancock’s Emerging Professionals Group and CAD Committee.
