January 16, 2026 - Finance

Weston, MA Polymath Development, LLC has secured $5 million in financing from Rockland Trust to support the development and construction of Kendal Village, a new 16-unit residential apartment and townhouse community.

Situated on two acres, the project will comprise five buildings – three townhome buildings and two apartment buildings. The development will feature a mix of two one-bedroom units, 12 two-bedroom units, and two three-bedroom units, with an average home size of 1,258 s/f. Eight units will offer townhouse-style layouts with direct-access garages. In alignment with the town’s commitment to increasing housing accessibility, one quarter of the homes will be designated as affordable under the state’s Chapter 40B program.

“We’re proud to bring Kendal Village to Weston at a moment when thoughtfully designed housing is so important to the community,” said Patrick Duffy, Polymath’s managing partner. “Our goal is to create homes that blend comfort, accessibility, and long-term value for residents. We’re grateful for Rockland Trust’s partnership and shared commitment to addressing the region’s housing needs.”

“Affordable communities like Kendal Village are more essential than ever as Massachusetts continues to face a severe housing shortage and record-high living costs,” said Rose Buckley, senior vice president and commercial banking officer at Rockland Trust. “At Rockland Trust, we recognize that developments like this strengthen the long-term stability and resilience of our cities and towns. We’re grateful to James and the entire Polymath Development team for their commitment to creating flexible, high-quality housing options across Greater Boston.”

Kendal Village is located along Rte. 117, less than half a mile from the Hastings MBTA commuter rail station and one mile from Cat Rock Park, offering future residents transit access and nearby recreation. Polymath Development anticipates completing construction in September 2027.
