The ULI Etkin Scholars Program, made possible by the philanthropic support of Bruce Etkin, introduces college and university students to the resources available through ULI membership and seeks to integrate those students into the ULI path of learning. Through this program, ULI District Councils identify a cohort of graduate and undergraduate students and provide them with a welcoming and concrete entrée into ULI knowledge at the local and national levels with funding support, free ULI student membership, creative programming, networking, and learning opportunities throughout the academic year of their scholarship.

“The Etkin Scholars Program represents our investment in the next generation of land use and real estate professionals,” said Michelle Landers, the executive director of ULI Boston/New England. “By providing students with early access to ULI’s extensive network and resources, we’re helping shape leaders who will drive innovation and positive change in the built environment.”

Over the coming year, the Etkin Scholars will participate in ULI programming, connect with industry professionals, and engage with the broader ULI Boston/New England membership. The program provides students with invaluable exposure to real estate.

Since its inception, the Etkin Scholars Program has served as a vital bridge between academic study and professional practice, helping students build the knowledge, networks, and skills needed to succeed in shaping thriving communities.
