What women should know about industry opportunities: I wish more women knew that construction is a dynamic field with a vast range of career opportunities. Beyond the job site, there are rewarding paths in project management, engineering, safety, design, and more. The industry is rapidly evolving, embracing new technologies and diverse perspectives. It offers a chance for continuous learning, the satisfaction of building something tangible, and the opportunity to contribute to projects that will serve the community for generations to come.

Advice for women starting their careers:  It’s important to build a strong network of mentors and peers. Seek out guidance from those who have navigated the industry and don’t hesitate to ask for support. Develop a resilient mindset, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and continuously seek to expand your skills and knowledge. I’d emphasize the importance of networking beyond your own company as well. Don’t hesitate to connect with people across the industry, including those in the craft. Many are willing to share their knowledge and experiences, and this coordination is often the best way to learn and grow.

What habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated during a busy week? I incorporate boxing into my routine and consider exercise pivotal for maintaining focus throughout the week.
