Project or accomplishment you’re most excited about:  I’m most excited about my work on the Mashpee Water Resource Recovery Facility on Cape Cod because of its lasting environmental and community impact. The project plays a key role in reducing nitrogen loading to local waterways and improving water quality for the town. From a team perspective, it has required strong coordination between the town, engineers, contractors, and regulators. Being part of a project that delivers long-term, sustainable infrastructure solutions that directly benefit public health and the environment has been incredibly rewarding.

Emerging challenge or opportunity ahead: Increasing regulatory pressure around nitrogen removal and emerging concerns like PFAS are reshaping wastewater construction, especially on Cape Cod and the Islands. Stricter limits are driving plant upgrades that are far more complex, leaving little room for construction errors. Small installation or coordination issues can affect long-term performance and permit compliance. In my role, I see the direct link between construction quality and plant operations, and I’m building my understanding of treatment processes and operator needs to help ensure facilities meet evolving standards.

What habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated during a busy week? I keep a running priority list and break bigger tasks into smaller, manageable steps. I also block off time for focused work.
