What emerging challenge or opportunity do you see shaping the construction industry in the next few years, and how are you preparing for it? I see technology, especially data tools and AI, rapidly changing how we plan and manage projects. It’s a big shift but also a chance to work smarter and make projects more predictable and collaborative. At DiPrete Engineering, we have been actively incorporating AI features into our day-to-day work so we stay on the cutting edge. I am personally preparing by staying hands on with these new tools, using data to make clearer decisions, and helping teams adopt this technology in ways that genuinely support their work.

What is one piece of advice or perspective you would share with women beginning their careers in the construction industry? My biggest piece of advice is to trust that you truly belong in this industry. Be curious, ask questions, and don’t hesitate to speak up - your point of view is valuable. Build relationships with people who support your growth, and look for mentors who challenge and encourage you. Most importantly, lead in a way that feels true to who you are. This industry has plenty of room for strong, thoughtful voices, and your confidence will open doors for you and others.

Share one fun or unexpected detail about yourself that colleagues might not know. My family and I take several ski trips each winter, but I’m actually a terrible skier. I just enjoy doing something together.
