What emerging challenge or opportunity do you see shaping the construction industry in the next few years, and how are you preparing for it? Everyone is talking about AI and technological advancement. These tools can be both a challenge and an opportunity. They improve efficiency and collaboration, but still require the knowledge and hands-on experience gained without AI to use them safely. We must pair traditional training with new technology, stay curious, and keep learning so we can adapt in construction. Technology is here to stay, but strong fundamentals are essential for safety, efficiency, and continued industry progress.

What is one piece of advice or perspective you would share with women beginning their careers in the construction industry? To women beginning their careers in construction, my advice would be to trust yourself and stay true to who you are. Honesty and authenticity are strengths, not risks, especially in a historically male-dominated field. When you show up as yourself, you build credibility, confidence, and respect. In my opinion, there is no barrier for women in construction - only the limits we place on ourselves. I implore women to believe in yourself, your character, and your knowledge – to inspire others and shape the women of the future of construction!

What is something outside of work that brings you energy, balance or creativity? Baking is my favorite way to unwind outside of work. It helps me relieve stress and reset after a busy week.
