Suffolk hosts Northeastern University students for a tour of the company’s 421 Park Dr.

Boston, MA Suffolk hosted students from Northeastern University’s construction management program for a tour of the company’s 421 Park Dr. jobsite, a mixed-use, 13-story facility that will include office space, laboratories and research and development areas, along with public gathering space designed to support the Fenway neighborhood.
The tour was led by Drake Wheelden, project engineer at Suffolk, and Domenic Dicenso, assistant superintendent at Suffolk, who guided students through the lobby spaces and highlighted the detailed finishes and extensive trade coordination required to bring the project to life. Students explored the building’s core and shell construction before concluding in the mechanical penthouse, where they learned about the systems that power and operate the building.
The students are in a course led by Mohamad Tassabehji, a Planning Analytics Manager at Suffolk who serves as a part-time lecturer at Northeastern University. Throughout the visit, the students were challenged to think critically about the daily responsibilities of project engineers, superintendents, and project managers. The experience provided a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world construction, offering an in-depth look at active project coordination and execution.
