The Construction Institute recognizes 2026 Champions of Change awardees

Meriden, CT The Construction Institute is honored to acknowledge the recipients of the 2026 Champions of Change Award: Sean Edwards, executive vice president at Suffolk, and Christine Jablonski, director of preconstruction at Daniel O’Connell’s Sons (DOC).
Each year, the Construction Institute recognizes one woman and one man within the architecture, engineering, construction, and owner (AEC/O) community who exemplify leadership, mentorship, and a commitment to advancing opportunity within the industry. These individuals serve as role models who actively support women and others in the profession while driving meaningful, lasting change.
“Sean and Christine exemplify what it means to be a Champion of Change,” said Nancy Greenwald, executive director of the Construction Institute. “Their leadership is defined by not only professional excellence, but also their commitment to lifting others, expanding opportunity, and shaping a more inclusive and dynamic future for the AEC industry.”
The 2026 awardees will be honored at the Women Who Build Summit, taking place April 28–29, 2026 at UMass Amherst.
