What inspired you to pursue a career in your industry, and what path brought you to your current role? Growing up in a family business in the construction industry, it felt natural to explore property management as a career. With a background in customer service, I was drawn to the people-focused side of leasing and property management. A decade ago, I started in an entry-level role and worked my way up to Director of Rental Management. I was taught that nothing in life is handed to you, and I have been fortunate to gain needed experience to earn a leadership role and shape our company’s future growth.
Who has been a mentor or influential figure in your career, and what is the most valuable advice they have shared with you? I credit my father for instilling a strong work ethic, which has been shaped by watching him work tirelessly throughout my life. He once told me he wasn’t just responsible for our family, but for the families of every employee. If he and my uncles didn’t secure the next opportunity, those families couldn’t provide for themselves. That perspective has stayed with me. Today, as I manage dozens of multi-unit properties across Maine, I’m constantly reminded that these aren’t just assets I’m managing, they’re people’s homes. I have responsibility to ensure residents feel safe and supported everyday.
