“With nearly a decade of experience, Anna Loc stands out for her ability to lead complex, community-driven projects with both technical precision and thoughtful design. Her work reflects a strong balance of creativity and discipline, and her ability to navigate challenges with clarity and purpose positions her as a rising leader in the industry.”

What accomplishment or project so far in your career are you most proud of? I’m most proud of completing 10 Stonley Rd./Brookley Flats in Jamaica Plain, a 45-unit, 100% affordable, Passive House-certified development. Charged with a “surgical” redesign, we reimagined the façade and refined interiors for long-term homeowners. Inspired by the neighborhood’s artistic character, we introduced a bold, colorful exterior while navigating complex detailing and community input, ultimately delivering a highly coordinated, visually seamless design.

Who has been a mentor or influential figure in your career, and what is the most valuable advice they have shared with you? My greatest mentor has been the industry itself. Through experience, I’ve learned that growth comes from resilience, reflection, and a commitment to informed design. Every challenge offers a lesson, and every project brings new perspectives, especially from developers. By understanding their goals and integrating them with architectural integrity, I strive to create work that is both socially responsive and viable.
