Founded in 1975, the firm has grown over the decades and includes 47 attorneys serving a wide range of clients across Maine. The firm relocated to 220 Middle St. nearly 13 years ago. Today, it occupies three levels of Class A office space in the top levels of 220 Middle St.
“Norman, Hanson & DeTroy has been an important part of the business community in Portland for over half a century,” said Tim Soley, president and CEO of East Brown Cow. “We’re proud to partner with a firm that is so deeply rooted in Maine and continues to grow and innovate while maintaining a strong commitment to Portland’s historic downtown.”
The law firm traces its roots to 415 Congress St., blocks away from its current location. Last summer, the firm welcomed 10 additional attorneys in a merger with Thompson, Bowie & Hatch, strengthening its capabilities across several key practice areas.
“Portland has long been home for our firm, and renewing our lease at 220 Middle St. was an easy decision,” said John Veilleux, managing partner at Norman, Hanson & DeTroy. “The space works extremely well for our team. East Brown Cow has been a very attentive landlord and a strong partner as our firm continues to grow.”
