Woburn, MA Highbar Physical Therapy has expanded its Massachusetts footprint with a 3,065 s/f lease at 18 Commerce Way. The Rhode Island-based provider now operates 56 clinics throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts, including a second location within Cummings Properties’ portfolio in Sudbury.

Founded more than 20 years ago, Highbar delivers personalized, holistic care designed to support movement, recovery, and performance. The team at the new location, led by Akshay Murlidharan, PT, MS, specializes in spine and neck pain, post-surgical recovery, neurological conditions, and orthopedic and sports-related injuries.

Cummings Properties leasing director Steve Cusano worked with Petra Flynn, of Cushman & Wakefield, to execute the deal. Cummings’ in-house teams customized the space with an open layout, sections of exposed ceiling, and a dedicated turf area for functional training.

“18 Commerce Way offers excellent visibility and accessibility in one of greater Boston’s most active commercial corridors,” said Cusano. “Its immediate proximity to major highways, restaurants, and retailers made it a natural fit for Highbar as the company continues its strategic expansion across Massachusetts.”

The Commerce Way site is located at the intersection of I-93 and I-95, within walking distance of numerous cafés and restaurants as well as the Woburn Village retail destination.
