Summit Realty brings Wayside Crossing to 100% occupancy

Marlborough, MA Summit Realty Partners, Inc. has completed a lease transaction at Wayside Crossing Shopping Center, located at 661 Boston Post Rd., securing Dave’s Hot Chicken as the newest tenant and bringing the retail center to 100% occupancy.
Summit Realty Partners Chris McMahon, Travis Ginsberg, and Chris Piché represented ownership, Aubuchon Realty Company, Inc., in the transaction, while Pat Gallagher of Atlantic Retail represented the tenant. Dave’s Hot Chicken will occupy the 2,250 s/f freestanding building formerly occupied by Starbucks.
According to Sean Naughton, senior leasing manager at Aubuchon Realty Company, Inc., “When Starbucks exercised its early termination option, we faced the challenge of replacing a national tenant while meeting strict lender requirements.
Summit Realty Partners moved quickly, identifying several qualified prospects and ultimately securing Dave’s Hot Chicken on terms that met and exceeded our lender’s expectations. Chris McMahon and the Summit team delivered an outstanding outcome, and we’re thrilled with the result.”
The fast-growing restaurant concept joins a strong tenant roster that includes Chipotle, New England Dental Group, H&R Block, and Champion Cleaners. Situated along Rte. 20, Wayside Crossing benefits from excellent visibility and access within one of MetroWest Boston’s strongest retail corridors. The property is shadow anchored by Target and Home Depot and surrounded by a diverse mix of national retailers and service providers.
“Dave’s Hot Chicken is an outstanding addition to Wayside Crossing,” said McMahon. “The brand’s continued growth, combined with this property’s high visibility, strong traffic counts, and established retail synergy, make it an ideal fit. Reaching full occupancy reflects both the quality of the asset and the strength of the Marlborough market.”
With this lease, Wayside Crossing is now fully leased, highlighting the continued demand for well-located retail space in MetroWest Boston.
