Bedford Creative introduces new live/work concept at boutique residential building
Stamford, CT Bedford Creative, a new live/work concept and boutique residential building located at 589 Bedford St., has be unveiled.
Bedford Creative is rethinking apartment living for evolving lifestyles, new work patterns, and changing expectations of home. This brand-new project includes 21 designed residences, with a mix of modern one-bedroom layouts and dual-space one-bedrooms, each paired with a dedicated/private detached office suite across the hall.
The Dual Space concept pairs a private apartment with a complementary detached space, creating a more flexible residential format that better supports the way people live now. The second space functions as a dedicated office suite conveniently located across the hallway – separate, private, and purpose-built for focus and productivity. One residence. Two purposeful spaces.
Bedford Creative combines private residential living with flexible work, wellness, and numerous amenities, including a resident lounge, roof terrace, fitness room, dog park, private parking, and EV charging. The building is also within close proximity to restaurants, cafes, shopping, parks, UConn Stamford, the Stamford train station, and the broader downtown business district.
At Bedford Creative, founder Steve Aivalis serves as the designer, project manager, and owner, guiding the project with a clear vision from start to finish. His architectural background shaped the building’s layout, material character, and overall live/work concept, including the introduction of Bedford Creative’s Dual Space One-Bedroom idea – a more thoughtful residential format designed around flexibility, separation, and modern living. His work is shaped by the belief that architecture and development should operate as a single process – from concept through construction to final occupancy.
Bedford Creative is currently pre-leasing for occupancy on September 1, 2026.
