W&M Construction Corp. has been retained as the construction manager responsible for renovating and expanding the healthcare center at The Watermark, a continuing-care retirement community at 3030 Park.
The two-story, 50,000 s/f center is undergoing a $10 million major improvement project designed by Kanalstein Danton Associates that will result in a facility for skilled nursing with new windows, new mechanical and electrical systems and a new roof. W&M Construction will also construct two full-service kitchens and more than 50 rooms for patients, in addition to other site improvements. Construction is slated for completion this month.
The Watermark at 3030 Park is being developed by The Freshwater Group, a company dedicated to serving the specialized housing, hospitality and healthcare needs of older adults.
Other renovations and expansions taking place at The Watermark include the addition of private independent living cottages, an array of newly remodeled and newly constructed apartments and the construction of The Duncan Center for Well Being, which will feature a fitness center complete with an indoor heated indoor swimming pool, locker rooms, and a Pilates and yoga area.
