Boston, MA The SIOR New England Chapter held a joint summer event with the New England Chapter of CCIM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 4pm to 6:30pm. Over 70 people attended this fun networking event. The summer event is a networking event of conversation, connection and community in a vibrant indoor-outdoor setting that has been held together for the last few years. This year the event was held at the Lifted Rooftop Restaurant & Bar Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, Boston.
The event coincided with the ICSC New England in Boston allowing members to network with attendees in town for this regional event. This was a great opportunity to connect with peers and expand networking. George Paskalis, SIOR Chapter president spoke at the event on the virtues of the SIOR designation and the qualifications to obtain the designation. Brian Dano, CCIM president also welcomed the attendees and spoke about the CCIM designation. There were also past chapter presidents and chapter board members from both SIOR and CCIM in attendance. Many old faces were in attendance and long-time connections were revitalized.
Approximately 12 SIOR members were in attendance representing a nice cross-section of the chapter members geographically. There were also several SIOR sponsor members in attendance as well. There was a great deal of discussion about the sluggishness with the economy and the industrial market in general. Many members spoke about the stand-still with industrial movement since the end of the first quarter.
Hor’s d’oeuvres and cocktails were included. Additionally, the Tall Ships were visiting the Boston Harbor and some of the members were able to visit a few blocks away from this event. There was an outstanding view of the 50 ships. Thank you to the many sponsors for this event.
