What has helped shape the way you approach your work and career?
My family has shaped my career more than anything. Growing up in a family-owned business, you learn to wear many hats. If someone drops the ball, you pick it up and keep running. I’ve watched my family weather good and bad economies, which taught me to work hard and keep pushing. As a woman in a family-owned construction company, I’ve also felt I had to work twice as hard to earn respect. Being confident in yourself and your skillset is necessary, and watching your work come to life is incredibly rewarding.
