Manchester, NH The New Hampshire/Vermont Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC NH/VT) recognized 31 award-winning projects and the people behind them at its annual Excellence in Construction Awards Gala on October 29, at the DoubleTree by Hilton. More than 360 members, partners and guests attended the evening.

“Every year, this event reminds us how much outstanding work is happening across New Hampshire and Vermont,” said Josh Reap, president and CEO of ABC NH/VT. “The recognition our winners receive is invaluable. It builds pride among their employees, showcases their capabilities, and helps the public understand the impact construction professionals have on everyone’s lives and livelihoods.”

The Excellence in Construction awards program includes categories for all types of contractors. It gives member companies a chance to promote professionalism, gain recognition for their capabilities, and reward employees for their accomplishments.

Mayor Jay Ruais opened the evening by leading the Pledge of Allegiance and sharing what lies ahead for the city. ABC NH/VT Chapter chair Gregory Bairam and vice chair Ronald Ciotti hosted the program, pairing plenty of humor with praise for this year’s projects.

The chapter also honored Rusty Mosca for 40 years in the construction industry. His commitment and leadership have left a lasting mark on the industry, and he continues to contribute today. The evening’s top honor, the Chairman’s Award, went to DEW Construction for the Burlington CTE project. With a particularly strong field of entries this year, the judges faced a difficult decision.
