Ground breaking ceremonies for the new Sears Roebuck department store at the Maine Shopping Center were held recently despite the weather. The development is by Kannebec Realty headed by Alan and Milton Green. The shopping center will feature an enclosed, all weather mall with parking for 2,000 cars. It is located on the Augusta interchange of the Maine Tpke. At Western Ave. and Whitten Rd., near I-95
