Pro Con begins construction on new 78,500 s/f Market Basket
Construction is underway for a new 78,500 s/f Market Basket store located at 539 Donald St. RMD Inc of Tewksbury, Mass. is the developer for Demoulas Super Markets Inc and the Market Basket stores. Prellwitz/Chilinski Associates Inc of Cambridge, MA is the project architect and Pro Con Inc of Manchester is the construction manager for the project.
"The foundation is 95% complete and the building's steel framing is more than 50% complete," stated the project superintendent for Pro Con Inc. "The loading dock area is complete and we will begin work the exterior framing by the end of August. The building will be completely weather tight November."
Pro Con Inc began construction in June and has scheduled a late spring 2013 completion date. DeMoulas Super Markets, Inc. operates 67 Market Basket stores throughout Mass. and N.H.
This is the second Market Basket supermarket Pro Con Inc has managed for DeMoulas Super Markets. In March 2012, Pro Con Inc completed a 100,000 s/f Market Basket store on Elm St. in downtown Manchester.
Melrose, MA Dennis Kelleher and John Pentore of Horvath & Tremblay have facilitated the sale of 47 units spread across two multi-family properties in totaling $13.7 million. Kelleher and Pentore facilitated the sale of 333 Main St. and 447 Pleasant St.
