Project of the Month: Pro Con Inc and Colwen Hotels complete renovation of 134 room Courtyard by Marriott Worcester

The 134 guest room Courtyard by Marriott Worcester has re-opened after a $3.5 million renovation. The project includes an all new lobby, new furniture, fixtures, the addition of complimentary wireless internet, a new 24-hour market and signature Courtyard Go-board in its lobby, as well as a completely retiled pool. The construction manager was Pro Con Inc and the interior design was provided by XSS Hotels. The Courtyard by Marriott Worcester's general manager is Socrates Ramirez of Colwen Hotel Management. The addition of a Courtyard Bistro, featuring made-to-order lunch and dinner specialties and a Starbucks barista, is an essential guest amenity and will support the on-the-go conveniences guests seek when travelling. All guestrooms, now equipped with a microwave and glass-front refrigerator, have been reappointed from top to bottom with new fabrics and granite vanities in each guest bathroom. Each desk area is suited with an ergonomic desk chair. With 4 stories and 90,000 s/f, the Courtyard by Marriott is located 4 miles from the Worcester Regional Airport, and under one hour from both TF Green Airport in Warwick, R.I. and Boston's Logan International Airport. Courtyard by Marriott Worcester amenities include: * Fitness center * Indoor pool with towel service * 700 s/f meeting room * Laundry on-site * Mobility accessible rooms * and high-speed wireless internet.
