Tony Cimaglia, with the team from Custom Contracting Co., Inc., came within 1' 7" of winning a 2008 Dodge Ram Quad Cab pickup truck on September 19th as 72 golfers gathered for the RIBA's annual golf classic at Crystal Lake Golf Club.
While he did win the coveted "closest to the pin" title, Cimaglia didn't sink the hole-in-one that would have put the pickup in his driveway. Also capturing honors on the links was the low-scoring team from Tsun Su LLC and Blackstone Valley Millwork & Door, with Fred Ferland, Chris Frasca, Pat Frasca and Cliff Sander.
Working hard behind the scenes were RIBA staffers Joanne DiGregorio and Nancy Jenkinson .
After a boxed lunch, golfers headed out for a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. A new putting contest proved popular, with Dan Caine of Anchor Insulation as the winner
Participants were greeted with cocktails, cheese and crackers, then a buffet dinner.
