The Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors hosted their annual holiday event on December 3, at CAV Restaurant. Members and guests enjoyed several hours of networking and holiday merriment.
Earlier that evening, 2014 president Jeffrey Butler, outlined his objectives at a meeting of the board of directors. Primary goals for the board include: encouraging affiliate partner participation, expansion of the membership base and clearly defined committee roles and responsibilities. Butler emphasized the interface of emerging resources and technology dedicated to servicing the board members. He noted that the recently developed RI Commercial Information Exchange (RICIE) has been well received by members and the public and will continue to evolve to meet the growing demands of consumers to access relevant data and obtain an accurate portrayal of the regional commercial real estate marketplace. Butler recognized members of the Technology Task Force of the Rhode Island Commercial Appraisal Board who were instrumental in working to develop this tool.
Richard Berlinsky, RI Association of Realtors Realtor of the Year, was honored by the National Association of Realtors with the 2013 National Commercial Award. Berlinsky was lauded for his commitment to professional development and his leadership at the state and local levels of the association.
