Construction has been completed on the new 10,000 s/f Department of Public Works Building located at 60 Hunkins Pond Rd. Riess Construction, working with construction manager, Conneston Construction, Inc. (CCI) and architect, Misiaszek Turpin worked through the design and construction of this new facility.
Riess Const. contracted with CCI for the supply and erection of the pre-engineered metal building portion of this project. Special consideration was given to thermal efficiency and the use of an insulated metal panel wall system that was chosen. This building consists of five bays to house vehicles and equipment. It also contains new offices, break room, locker-room, parts and mechanical rooms and a mezzanine for miscellaneous storage. Town road agent, John Thayer, is excited to be able to place most of the town's expensive trucks and road equipment inside the building and protect them from the elements.
Riess Const. is also working on or has recently completed work on the addition to the FedEx ground transportation in Belmont, the expansion to The Retreat at Golden View in Meredith and structural upgrades to AJ Foss Concrete Products in Farmington.
