Newport, RI The home at 115 Pelham St.has sold for $4.55 million. The buyer was represented by Annamarie Ringheim, broker associate of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. The seller was represented by Chris West, broker/owner of Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty.
A testament to Sotheby’s International Realty brand, the two firms were able to come together in this sale. “Swinburne” is a Greek Revival home once owned by nineteenth century Rhode Island state legislator and mayor of Newport, William Swinburne. The property, c. 1860, has undergone renovations offering modern amenities. Located in the Historic Hill neighborhood, the home is just minutes from the city’s most popular attractions.
According to data available from Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service, the sale of 115 Pelham St. is the second highest sale in Newport this year. West notes that Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty represented the sellers of the highest sale in Newport this year as well.
The Sotheby’s International Realty network puts global connections and targeted reach to work. “My clients were looking for a home with both historic charm and an in-town location with walkability,” said Ringheim. “I knew Swinburne would be a perfect fit. The new owners will be great stewards of this classic Newport home moving forward.”
West said, “We are proud to once again cooperate with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty and reinforce the powerful network of Sotheby’s International Realty agents.”
