Boston, MA RMF Engineering has made the addition of three new shareholders in the company: Raquel Deschler, PE, Stephanie Lafontaine, PE, LEED AP, and Chris Skillestad, PE.

“As our firm continues to grow, the opportunity of ownership in RMF is extended to those who consistently demonstrate our core values of strong leadership, good judgement, and commitment to client service through both their contributions and their character,” said Richard Borkowicz, PE, president of RMF Engineering. “Raquel, Stephanie, and Chris each exemplify the caliber of performance that drives RMF's success, and this invitation to join in our shared ownership recognizes their distinguished careers and bright futures.”

Since joining RMF in 2020, Lafontaine, PE, LEED AP, leads the mechanical design team in the Boston, Mass. office. Lafontaine studied mechanical engineering at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Deschler, PE, a mechanical design team lead in the Charleston, South Carolina office, joined RMF in 2018. During her tenure with the firm, she has emerged as a technical and business leader in the higher education and K-12 markets and has authored numerous published articles. Deschler’s leadership as part of RMF’s South Carolina Division delivers meaningful impact firmwide. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Providence College and Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University-St Louis.

Deschler, Lafontaine, and Skillstad are all graduates of RMF's Project Management and Leadership Development Programs. Designed to further enhance leadership acumen and decision-making capabilities, participants engage in a variety of sessions focused on business strategy, finance, HR, business development, and leadership development, while developing strategic plans for future opportunities within RMF.

“Our success is driven by the strength of our people, and our focus on internal growth ensures that commitment and performance are recognized,” said Borkowicz. “Offering a path to ownership reinforces their importance to the firm and supports the continued evolution of RMF’s leadership.”
