Boston, MA Day Pitney LLP has named a new leader to its real estate, environmental and land use business unit, effective today.
Jared Ross, partner in the firm’s city office, has been named to serve as the co-chair of the real estate, environmental and land use practice; he will serve alongside Craig Gianetti, current co-chair of the group. Ross will succeed Marie Betrand, who previously served as co-chair, and is a commercial real estate partner in the firm’s Hartford office.
Ross is a trusted outside general counsel and full-service attorney for real estate developers, lenders and equity participants, offering strategic advice across all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, permitting, and leasing. He has extensive experience representing developers and investors in multifamily, hotel, office, industrial, and flex space transactions, handling due diligence, joint ventures, and real estate investment funds.
As leader of Day Pitney’s Construction practice, Ross negotiates and drafts contracts for projects ranging from small rehabilitations to developments exceeding $100 million. Additionally, his practice extends to working on renewable energy development projects and providing transactional experience to the firm’s Automotive practice. He is a member of the Boston Bar Association’s Real Estate section, Land Use and Development committee. Ross earned his B.S., magna cum laude, from Boston College and his J.D. from Suffolk Law School. He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and Washington, D.C.
