Atrion Networking Corp. and Michael Inteliga & Co. recently announced that Atrion has signed an agreement to occupy the first two floors at 125 Metro Center Blvd. The building, totaling 46,000 s/fis Phase II of the Metro East Office Park, currently being developed by Integlia. Atrion will occupy 32,000 s/f of the facility and plans to add upwards of 100 new jobs within the next two years.
Atrion, a Warwick-based, privately-owned company, has operated from an 11,000 s/f facility on Service Ave. since 1987, and will continue to use that location for shipping and receiving and as a data center. Last year, the company added 45 new positions, bringing the current complement of employees to 175. Within the next two years, they expect to add between 80 and 100 new jobs, mostly in the technology division, and in sales, finance, internal operations and customer service as well.
The company began its search for a larger building two years ago, and, although their clients span New England, Tim Hebert, Atrion's CEO and president, wanted to make sure they remained in Rhode Island.
Phase II at The Metro East Office Park, on Metro Center Blvd., is four times the size of Atrion's current location and allows for an open floor design, with lots of natural light, flex spaces, areas where employees can collaborate, and opportunity for further expansion. The call center, currently in a windowless room, will also be bright and airy.
Work is moving along on schedule, with a completion date of April of next year. Atrion expects to be fully operational by May.
The facility is the second to be developed in the office park, a multi-tenant Class "A" Office building that represents an investment of approximately $10 million. It complements the company's portfolio in Warwick, which includes Phase I and recently-completely projects at 931 and 935 Jefferson Blvd.
Both Atrion and Michael Integlia Company are well-respected companies, with deep ties to Rhode Island and Warwick and a commitment to improving the state's business climate. We wish both well as they continue to expand their presence in Warwick.
